Rainbow Bridge

Bonnie
Beautiful Bonnie found herself in the local shelter. Nobody came to claim her; for 12 days she waited, suffering in silence. Bonnie joined our family and went to a foster while we started medical treatment to help alleviate her symptoms and help her feel better. She was absolutely the sweetest dog, even while feeling so awful. She was showered with love, fresh air, sunshine, comfy spot to sleep, and all of the fresh food and water she could want! She had dog friends to bark with. She received cooked chicken, medications and tons of kisses and hugs! Sadly Bonnie’s discomfort was ever present and her struggles became more pronounced. She was helped over the rainbow bridge with people by her side who loved her dearly. Her time with us was short. Her heart is with us forever.

Grace
FMCMA received a call about a "young cat who had been attacked and found as a stray". Upon arriving to assess the situation, I found a very old cat who was just frail and sickly. FMCMA took her under our care, she was taken to the vet and given and antibiotic and vitamin injection. We were told at that time that she was very old, had probably been an outdoor kitty her whole life, and that is was very doubtful if she were to ever "bounce back". She went to a hospice foster, and actually started looking better after a time. It's amazing what love, comfort, and a steady supply of food can do for an animal Grace died of old age in January of 2024, after having been with her foster for 8 months. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge having know love, comfort, and safety. Rest well, sweet Grace. You were a beautiful soul.

Princess
Princess Di was rescued from horrible conditions in February of 2023. She had been left in a filthy crate in a basement and owner was unavailable for indeterminant amount of time. She was rescued by FMCMA and received vetting, spay, went to a foster where she found freedom and love. Sadly, Di crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We can rejoice in the fact that she knew love, freedom, and happiness in the short time we had her. Rest in Peace, sweet one. You were loved and are missed.

Oreo
Oreo was a very sweet boy who was discovered living in deplorable conditions. He was rescued by FMCMA on February 16, 2023 and found freedom, love, security, and companionship through a foster who then adopted him. He lived his life to the fullest after that. Sadly he crossed the rainbow bridge on September 30, 2013. He was loved, his life mattered, and he is very missed. Rest in Peace, sweet boy.
